LA Fitness offers multiple communication channels to reach their customer service team. These options include phone support, online contact forms, email, social media, and in-person assistance at local club locations. Each method has different response times and may be better suited for certain types of questions. Understanding which channel to use can help you get the information you need more efficiently.
The company's customer service team handles inquiries from current members, former members, and people interested in joining. Whether you have questions about membership costs, class schedules, personal training services, or facility amenities, customer service representatives can provide information. They can also help if you're experiencing technical issues with member accounts or billing concerns.
Response times vary depending on which contact method you choose. Phone support typically provides the quickest answers for time-sensitive questions, while email and online forms may take 24 to 48 hours or longer. Social media channels sometimes offer faster responses during business hours. Understanding these timelines helps you select the right contact method based on how urgently you need information.
Practical Takeaway: Before contacting LA Fitness, identify what type of issue you're experiencing. Simple account questions or billing concerns may be resolved through their website or mobile app, while more complex issues may require speaking directly with a representative.
Phone Support and Direct Club Contact
Calling LA Fitness directly remains one of the most straightforward ways to reach customer service. You can contact the corporate customer service line at 1-800-54-LAFIT (1-800-545-2348). This number is available during standard business hours, typically Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 8 PM Eastern Time, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 AM to 5 PM Eastern Time. However, hours may vary, so it's worth checking their official website for current information before calling.

When you call the main customer service line, you'll reach an automated system that may direct you to different departments based on your needs. Common departments include membership services, billing, facilities, and technical support. Having your membership number or account information ready when you call can speed up the process. The automated system may also offer menu options that allow you to resolve certain issues without speaking to a representative.
Another phone option is contacting your local LA Fitness club directly. Each location has its own phone number, and calling your nearest club can sometimes provide faster responses for location-specific questions. Staff at individual clubs can answer questions about class schedules, facility hours, equipment availability, and local membership options. You can find your local club's phone number through the LA Fitness website by using their club locator tool.
Local clubs typically have the following hours: Monday through Friday from 5 AM to 10 PM or later, Saturday from 6 AM to 8 PM, and Sunday from 6 AM to 7 PM. However, hours vary significantly by location, and some 24-hour clubs maintain different schedules. Calling during off-peak times, such as mid-morning or early afternoon on weekdays, may result in shorter wait times than calling during busy gym hours.
When calling, be specific about your issue. For example, rather than saying "I have a problem," explain whether it's related to billing, membership, class schedules, or equipment. This helps the representative direct you appropriately and resolve your issue more effectively. Have your account information or membership card number available to streamline the conversation.
Practical Takeaway: Save both the main customer service number (1-800-545-2348) and your local club's number in your phone contacts. Call your local club for location-specific questions and the main line for account or billing issues.
Online Contact Forms and Email Support
LA Fitness provides online contact forms through their official website at lafitness.com. These forms allow you to submit inquiries without making a phone call. To use this method, visit the website and look for a "Contact Us" link, usually found in the footer of the page or in the main navigation menu. The online form typically asks you to provide your name, email address, phone number, membership status, and a description of your question or concern.

When completing an online contact form, be as detailed as possible about your issue. Include relevant information such as your membership number, the date a problem occurred, or specific details about what you're trying to accomplish. The more information you provide upfront, the less back-and-forth communication may be needed. Explain whether your question is about billing, membership changes, facility amenities, class information, or something else entirely.
Response times for online forms typically range from 24 to 48 hours, though during busy periods or weekends, responses may take longer. You should receive a response at the email address you provided with the form. It's worth checking your spam or promotional email folders if you don't see a response within two days, as customer service emails sometimes end up in these folders.
You can also reach LA Fitness via email by sending messages to their general customer service email address or department-specific addresses. While a general customer service email isn't always prominently displayed on their website, it may be found in confirmation emails you receive as a member, on your billing statements, or by calling their main number to ask for the appropriate email address for your specific issue.
Email support works well for non-urgent issues, questions that require detailed explanations, or concerns you want documented in writing. If you're dealing with a billing dispute or membership issue you may need to reference later, email creates a written record of your correspondence. Save all customer service emails for future reference.
Practical Takeaway: Use online forms and email when your question isn't time-sensitive or when you prefer written communication. Provide thorough details in your initial message to avoid delays from back-and-forth emails.
Social Media and Chat Options
LA Fitness maintains active social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter (now called X). These platforms can be another way to reach customer service, particularly if you prefer messaging through social media or want to report issues publicly. LA Fitness's official Facebook page can typically be found by searching "LA Fitness" on the platform. Their social media accounts often have customer service response capabilities built into direct messaging or comment sections.

Response times on social media are often faster than email, particularly during business hours when social media team members are monitoring accounts. Some companies respond to social media inquiries within a few hours, while others may take 24 hours or more. Social media can be particularly useful if you've had trouble reaching customer service through other channels or if you want to bring attention to an ongoing issue.
Some LA Fitness locations may also offer live chat support through their website or mobile app. This feature, when available, allows you to type messages to a customer service representative in real-time during business hours. Live chat is typically faster than email but may have longer waits than phone support during busy periods. Look for a "Chat" or "Live Support" button on the LA Fitness website, usually in the bottom right corner or in the customer service section.
When using social media to contact LA Fitness, keep your messages professional and specific. You may want to send a direct message rather than posting publicly, as this keeps your account information private. If you do post a public comment or message, LA Fitness staff will likely respond and may ask you to send them a direct message to discuss your issue further.
The mobile app may also have built-in messaging features or support options. Check the "Settings" or "Account" section of the LA Fitness app to see if there's an option to contact support directly from your phone. Some features within the app, such as billing issues or class registration problems, may have troubleshooting guides or chat options available.
Practical Takeaway: Use social media or chat for faster responses during business hours, especially for issues you've already tried to resolve through other channels. Keep social media messages brief and professional, and provide your membership information or account details to speed up assistance.
